JOEY KING'S MALLORCA WEDDING FROM THE GOWNS TO THE GUEST LIST
Joey King, who is best known for her performance in The Kissing Booth franchise on Netflix, got married to director, Steven Piet, on September 3rd. King, 24, and her husband, 32, tied the knot in an intimate destination wedding set in Mallorca, Spain. The wedding was complete with King's four Oscar de la Renta gowns and guests like Sabrina Carpenter and Michelle Williams.
The couple first met in 2019 when Piet directed two episodes for Hulu's The Act, which King starred in, following King's romance with The Kissing Booth costar, Jacob Elordi. The couple made their relationship Instagram public on Valentine's Day in 2020. Since then, the duo has flaunted their union across the social media platform with several posts enjoying each other's companies. On February 2nd, 2022 (2/2/22), Piet proposed with custom ring estimated to cost around $120,000, which King revealed, once again, on Instagram.

Now, after keeping a majority of their relationship with the exception of the occasional post, King and Piet got married at La Fortaleza in Mallorca. The couple told Vogue, "We wanted a venue that was grand yet intimate at the same time." The venue, picked out by the planners, Allison Bryan Destinations, is complete with a backdrop of the Mediterranean sea. It's described on their website as "the most exclusive and guarded mansion" on the Spanish island.
The venue, which mainly relies on the views, architecture and pools as decoration, was touched up with a mix of flowers, courtesy of Putnam Flowers. They were used on either side of the aisle, and for the dinner, all around. Wedded Wonderland described the venue and design choice "completely artistic, tasteful, and joyful."
The wedding turned into a pool party by the second day. The guests brought out their bathing suits to enjoy the sun or a swim in the pools, or go diving in the sea. King told Vogue, "Looking out from the altar at all of our friends and family was an unforgettable moment."

Throughout the day, the bride was dressed in four Oscar de la Renta gowns, the ceremony dress being a custom Spring 2023 Faille Petal Ball Gown. The dress was inspired by traditional silhouettes, as King told Vogue, with a modern twist with scale-like petals all across. The bridal look was complete with a veil, while the groom dawned an off-white Brunello Cucinelli tuxedo and patent Gianvito Rossi shoes.
For the reception, King switched out the dress for the Spring 2021 Faille Vine Halter Gown, a shorter lacier flowy dress. The party dress was a tulle halter gown, also be Oscar de la Renta. The final dress, the Spring 2022 Cape Cocktail dress was saved for pool day. King said that instantly knew the dresses were perfect for the wedding, and all it took was a fitting, "The rest is history." The fashion house did not sponsor the wedding, which was made clear through King's choice of Balenciaga heels for the reception and Celine sneakers for the party.
The star's hair was styled by her longtime collaborator, Dimitris Giannetos, who called the hairstyle, "elegant, romantic and timeless," in an interview with PEOPLE Magazine. Meanwhile, the makeup and nails were done by Allan Avendaño and Thuy Nguyen, respectively.

The wedding was attended by King and Piet's close family and friends, including some A-listers that were spotted in photos from the party. Actors, Michelle Williams, Taylor Zakhar Perez and Phoebe Dynevor were photographed at the wedding. King told Vogue, "It's special knowing people I've known forever came to celebrate me," referring to the attendance of her celebrity friends. Taylor Swift, whom King recently worked with for a music video, reportedly was a guest but wasn't photographed for the photo album.
Sabrina Carpenter, longtime best friend to the bride, not only came to the wedding but also sang King down the aisle. King said of Carpenter's willingness to perform a Swedish song without knowing the language, "Sabrina must really love me." The singer wrote in an Instagram post, "my wife got married and i wept and wept... love you both dearly. congrats on your love."
King and Piet seemed to have a fairytale wedding, that lasted a weekend, in Mallorca, Spain. The ceremony was complete with the families and loved ones of the couple with an 18th century fort overlooking the Mediterranean Sea as the setting. The pictures are nothing short of love and fun-filled, from the guests to King's outfit changes fit for a princess. The couple flew from Mallorca to Lake Como in nearby Italy for their honeymoon. They were spotted on a boat soaking the sun shortly after the wedding, kickstarting their life as a married power couple.
